ARTIST/CREATIVE

I currently lecture two days a week in higher education. I teach creative students business skills so that they can set up and run their own freelance businesses and use their creative skills to earn a living once they've left education. It's something I'm passionate about and it's something all the adult artists I know keep asking me to teach elsewhere. So here it is!

The Creative Tide - a community to help you take your creative skills and turn them into an income.

At my core, I am an artist. My art is for and about The Female Gaze. My practice interrogates what it is to be a woman, a mother, a neurodivergent human and a lover of women.

Much of the work you'll find in the artist section of this website is my photography work, which is predominantly rooted in feminist research and feminist art history. My practice is evolving to include different mediums, but the themes remain.

Sapphic Rebel is a fun, creative venture. I started this work so that I can have the most current experience and knowledge of setting up a creative business to share with my students.

Setting up an Etsy store has changed a lot since I first created one! As I've built the business from scratch, it has allowed me to record and document the process so my students can follow along and achieve the same results.
